Controversial Moments

Rashami Desai and Siddharth Shukla — The Roti Fight

Do celebrities have strong opinions on rotis? Perhaps on the size rotis should be? What if those opinions conflict? On October 8th, Siddharth Shukla and Rashami  Desai got into an ugly spat in the kitchen, when Paras Chhabra entered the scene and caused another commotion here.

Shehnaaz Gill — Crazy for Attention

Before bed, Shehnaaz Gill decided it would be fun to scare the other contestants by acting crazy. Not only is Gill’s charade hilarious, but so are the reactions she elicits. Don’t forget to turn up your audio to hear what Siddharth Shukla says about Asim Riaz.

Paras Chhabra — The Gossip King

Chhabra has mastered the art of manipulation. Catch him in action, gossiping about other contestants on the show and turning them against one another. Even opinionated Rashami Desai accepts his views.

The Paras Chhabra and Aarti Singh Fight

Controversy seems to follow Paras Chhabra around. Aarti Singh eventually confronts him, accusing him of pitting contestants against one another. What begins as a civil discussion soons spirals completely out of control.

Devoleena Bhattacharjee — Queen B

After she was crowned queen, Devoleena Bhattacharjee attempts to delegate work to contestants. Each participant throws a tantrum, with one even faking pains in their hands and legs to get out of chores.

“Bed Friend Forever”

Because there are a limited number of beds in the house, contestants are made to share. Before the show began, each participant had an assigned bedmate of the opposite gender. However, due to public outrage, this couldn’t be enforced. In the end, everyone got to choose their own partner. Watch to see who picked who!

What happened in the first two weeks?

Week 1

The show began with all thirteen participants entering the Bigg Boss house. Heading straight into the nomination, each female participant was given a heart-shaped cushion with her picture on it. They were then made to choose a male housemate with whom they felt they could strike a connection. These were the matches they came up with:

Rashami – Paras

Koena – Paras

Shefali – Paras

Mahira – Paras

Aarti – Siddharth S

Devoleena – Siddharth S

Dalljiet – Paras

Shehnaaz – Abu

Male nominations had to then choose a female participant that they didn’t feel a connection with. At the end, Devoleena, Rashami, Shefali, Koena and Dalljiet were all nominated.

Toward the end of the week, female contestants were given a black ring to choose a male contestant who wasn’t deserving enough to stay in the house. Fashion model Asim Riaz was nominated thrice for this.

Lucky for him, nobody was evicted during the first week, as voting lines were closed.

Week 2

The second week saw nominations for eviction. This time around, it wasn’t one nomination but two contestants who had to leave the house.

Two windows were kept in the garden. At regular intervals, Bigg Boss would call one male and two female participants. The female participants had to convince the male participant to save them from nomination this week. Only the male participant had the sole discretion to decide who was up for eviction. After making his decision, he closed the window on the female he decided to nominate; the other participant was automatically considered safe.

The pairs were as follows:

Paras — Mahira and Shehnaaz

Siddharth S — Aarti and Rashami

Siddharth D — Dalljiet and Shefali

Abu and Asim — Devoleena and Koena

Shehnaaz, Rashami, Dalljiet and Koena were nominated for eviction. Two of them would have to leave, and the other two would continue on to the next week.

Dalljiet Kaur and Koena Mitra received the least amount of votes, prompting Salman Khan to evict the duo from the house. They became the first contestants to be evicted on the 13th season.
