4 Things We’ll Miss Most About ‘New Girl’

Cue Vitamin C’s “Friends Forever.”

In just a couple of days, New Girl will premiere on FOX for the seventh and final time. In the new season, we’ll see where the gang is three years after where we left them in season six: Jess (Zooey Deschanel) and Nick (Jake Johnson) are together and just returning from a European book tour; Schmidt (Max Greenfield) is a stay-at-home dad raising he and Cece’s (Hannah Simone) daughter while Cece brings home the bacon; Winston (Lamorne Morris) and Aly (Nasim Pedrad) are married with a baby on the way.

Since our time with New Girl is limited, we thought it was worth taking a moment to reflect on five of our favorite things we’re going to miss when the final credits roll.

The Weirdly Loving Co-Dependency of Nick and Schmidt

If the bromance between Nick and Schmidt taught us anything, it is that it’s important to have a friend who will always have your back and join you in a Bollywood dance showcase when trying to win over the parents of your significant other. Their love for reach other truly is #RelationshipGoals.

Jess and Her Awkwardness

There may not be another character ever created that is quite as awkwardly charming as Jess. If there was anyone to look up to for being comfortable in their own skin, Jess is certainly a contender.

The Best One-Liners

The mark of a great writing on a TV show is when you have an ample amount of one-liners you’ve never heard before that you can easily integrate into your everyday life, and New Girl is chalked full of them.

True American

Perhaps the best drinking game to spawn from a TV show, True American will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Even after New Girl is long gone, we can continue the True American tradition in our own lofts with working rules.

Don’t miss the premiere of the seventh and final season of New Girl on April 10 at 9:30pm ET on FOX, or catch up next day on-demand.
