On January 18, Spike TV will officially become Paramount Network.
With the rebrand to Paramount Network, the channel’s programming line up with mostly be full of original scripted content led by some of the biggest names in Hollywood. Many of Spike’s fan-favorites, like Lip Sync Battle, Bar Rescue and Bellator, will still have a home.
To kick off the big switch, Paramount Network will air a live, star-studded Lip Sync Battle: A Michael Jackson Celebration with a special performance by the cast of Michael Jackson One. Taraji P. Henson, Hailee Steinfeld and Neil Patrick Harris are among the celebs taking part in this live Michael Jackson-themed celebration on January 18 at 9pm ET. The fourth season of Lip Sync Battle officially premieres the following week on January 25 at 10pm ET.
Paramount Network’s first big Bellator fight follows two days later on January 20 at 9pm ET when Douglas Lima defends his welterweight title against Rory MacDonald.
Following later this month is the highly-anticipated miniseries Waco, starring Taylor Kitsch, Michael Shannon and John Leguizamo. Kitsch plays Branch Dividian leader David Koresh as he and his religious followers face off against the FBI and the ATF in a 51-day standoff at their compound in Waco, Texas that ended in a deadly fire. Waco premieres January 24 at 10pm ET.
Set to premiere later in 2018 are three more original series: Yellowstone, starring Kevin Costner, follows the violent world of the Dutton family who controls the largest ranch in the U.S.; Heathers, which is based on the cult classic movie, premieres March 7; and American Woman, starring Alicia Silverstone and Mena Suvari.
Nobodies, a comedy series from producers Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone which premiered it’s first season on TV Land last year but has been moved to Paramount Network for season two.
