Our first pay-per-view (PPV) fight between Cormier and Jones was so popular, we couldn’t wait to bring you another epic sporting event, so today we’re announcing that Sling will offer the highly anticipated PPV Mayweather-McGregor super-fight in HD. So, if you’re looking for an easy way to watch undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather face off against rising UFC star Conor McGregor next Saturday, Sling TV has your back!
Beginning today, Sling TV customers can purchase Mayweather v. McGregor for $99.99 plus taxes, available in both English and Spanish. The fight, which is expected to be the most viewed combat sports event in history, will air next Saturday, August 26, beginning at 9 p.m. ET.
Prior to the main event, viewers can enjoy Andrew Tabiti and Steve Cunningham battle it out for the USBA cruiserweight title, the WBA light heavyweight world championship fight between Badou Jack and current champ Nathan Cleverly, and Francisco Fonseca will take on current champ Gervonta Davis for the IBF junior lightweight world champion title.
Customers who purchase the event may watch it directly from their Sling TV app across all Sling-supported devices. Best of all, you don’t need a long-term contract or cable to watch! Existing customers can simply order the fight by logging in to sling.com/account and clicking on the fight banner. New Sling TV customers must first create a Sling TV account and may then order the fight by logging in to sling.com/account and clicking on the fight banner.
Once purchased, you will see two new channels appear at the beginning of your channel guide, in English and in Spanish, and the channel will go live as soon as event coverage begins. Throughout the fight, customers may pause, rewind and fast-forward content; additionally, the fight will be available for replay for six days following the event.
Customers with Sling Blue in select markets may also watch two preliminary fights on FOX, beginning at 7pm ET – Juan Heraldez (12-0) v. Jose Miguel Borrego (13-0) and Shawn Porter (27-2-1) v. Thomas Dulorme (24-2).
