It’s the most wonderful time of the year: Game of Thrones is back on the air after a longer-than-usual layoff, and theories abound about what is coming next for the (remaining) aspirants to rule the Seven Kingdoms. (We even have a Dead Pool going here at Sling HQ on who will be the first major character to go.)
If you have not been able to see last week’s season 7 premiere yet and would like to see the second episode this weekend, you’re in luck: HBO is available free to all Sling subscribers through 11:59pm ET Monday.
But there’s a lot more on HBO than Game of Thrones, including the season 3 premiere of Dwayne Johnson’s sports comedy Ballers; the season 2 premiere of Issa Rae’s acclaimed web series-turned-premium-comedy Insecure; and on-demand, the recent Emmy-nominated full seasons of Westworld, Veep, The Night Of, Big Little Lies, Girls, Silicon Valley, and The Young Pope.
If you’re in a binging-with-closure kind of mood, you can always marathon full classic series like The Sopranos, Deadwood, The Wire, Sex and the City, Oz, Six Feet Under, True Blood, and many more.
If that’s not enough, there are tons and tons of movies on-demand, including the recent HBO original comedy Tour de Pharmacy with Andy Samberg and the Emmy-nominated HBO original Wizard of Lies with Robert de Niro and Michelle Pfeiffer, plus the premiere of the hit WWII drama Hacksaw Ridge, starring Andrew Garfield.
Enjoy the weekend! (Oh, and we’ve got $10 on Ellaria Sand to die first.)
